Independence Day - 2021

The Independence Day of India, which is celebrated religiously throughout the country on the 15th of August every year, holds tremendous ground in the list of national days, since it reminds every Indian about the dawn of a new beginning, the beginning of an era of deliverance from the clutches of British colonialism of more than 200 years. It was on 15th August, 1947, that India was declared independent from British colonialism, and the reins of control were handed over to the leaders of the country. The 75th Independence Day was celebrated with zeal and patriotic fervour in JG International School. The event was graced with the presence of Chairman, Mr K Mohanlal, Executive Director, Mr. M P Chandran, CEO Mr K LN Sastry, Treasurer Mr Alex Lucose, President ASIA, Mr T V S Ram, other trustees and members of the Managing Committee, Principals and the staff members of schools & colleges.

The programme began with anchors welcoming the dignitaries and guests followed by a welcome address by the Principal, Dr Kavita Sharma. Our tricolour, the national flag was hoisted by the Chairman of ASIA Charitable Trust, Mr. K Mohanlal. The cultural progrmmme began with a patriotic medley of songs by Mr Alan Newme, Mr Mukesh Kuchara and team. It was followed by a dance performance by Ms Krinal Soni and team. The patriotic spirit was unleashed by the portrayal of different characters ranging from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi to our seven Olympic winners of the Tokyo Olympics. The Chairman of ASIA Charitable Trust, Mr K Mohanlal addressed the gathering. The event was wrapped by rendering vote of thanks by Ms. Neelam Rathi.
