Inter School Recitation 'Poems Outloud' - 2016
JGIS organized ‘Poems Out Loud-2016-17’ – Inter-school Poetry Recitation Competition on 22nd July, 2016. 25 reputed schools participated in this competition.
The competition was held in three categories: (a) Sub-junior: grades 4-5, (b) Junior: grades 6-7 and (c) Senior: 8-9.
The Judges were Ms. Uma Oza, Ms. Shalvi Agarwal, Mr. Bijoy Shivram, Ms. Beena Handa, Mr. Sudhir Kulkarni, Dr. Nutan Kotak, Dr. Indira Nityanandam and Ms. Mana Yagnik.Inter House English Recitation (V-VIII) - 2016
Inter House English Recitation competition for the year 2016-17 was held on 15th July 2016. The competition was conducted for two categories, the junior category having participants from grade V & VI and the senior category having participants from grade VII & VIII. Teachers in charge were Sindhu Sudhir, Jagruti Joshi and Suman Deswal. Judges for junior category were Ajay Nair & Shilpa Thakkar and for senior category were Vidhi Trivedi & Aishwarya Patel. Scorers were Bindu Raphael and Shila Singh.
Investiture Ceremony - 2016
On the fine morning of 01st July 2016, the deserving young talents of our school were bestowed with the responsibility of leading their school with their commitment, confidence and competence. The investiture ceremony thus marked the inaugural of the senior student council for the academic session 2016-17.
Election for Head Boy & Head Girl - 2016
Election is an organized process through which the heads of a democratic country are elected. At JGIS, like last year this year also we have elected our Head Boy and Head Girl. We conducted a mock election. The purpose of it was to give the children a ‘Hands on” experience on the conduction of election. Election was on 27th June in the auditorium. Four booths were made. Each booth has a laptop and a technician from the school. Names and the symbols were appeared on the screen. The voters had to click twice, one for the Head Boy and the other Head Girl.
School Birthday Celebration-2016
School Birthday Celebration On 21st June,2016.
JG International School celebrated its 12th birthday with pomp and splendor on Tuesday,21st June,2016.Students were felicitated for 100% attendance, Board Toppers and securing a 100% in Board Examination.Rolling trophies were also given away to Houses in various categories.The celebration concluded with the ceremonial cutting of the cake.Sports Festival of Holding Section - 2016
JG International School, Sola Road celebrated the Sports Festival of Pre Primary to class II on Saturday, 20th February, 2016. The theme was based on‘ Celebrating Our Helpers ‘. All the students participated in one or the other event and made it a very exciting and colorful celebration.
Carnival - 2016
JG International school, Sola Road, presented its Annual Display of Activities “Expressions- A Carnival of Creations- 2016“ on 30th January, 2016. This event exhibited the talents of our students in various Co-Curricular Activities for which they were trained all through the year. Activities included Dramatics, Calligraphy, Electronics, Dance, Aerobics, Do It Yourself[ Plumbing, Tailoring, Carpentry etc ] Music [Vocal/ Instrumental ] Art , Embroidery, Painting and the School band. They put their heart and soul for the success of this show.
Christmas Celebration - 2015
JGIS celebrated Christmas on 24th December , 2015 in JG Auditorium during morning assembly. Students of the Primary section sang carols melodiously followed by a carol by the staff. Santa Clause danced to the tune of Jingle bells and distributed sweets to children. A crib was arranged at the school entrance to commemorate the arrival of Baby Jesus.
Annual Day - 2015
JG International School, Sola Road celebrated its 12th Annual Day dedicated to the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of ASIA Charitable Trust, on 12th December, 2015. Shri John Geevargese, Chairman of ASIA Charitable Trust was the Chief Guest of the evening. Vice Chairman Mr. Jose John, Trustee and Executive Director Mr. M P Chandran, Secretary Mr. K P M Nair and President of ASIA, Mr. K L N Sastry graced the occasion.
