We the students of grade III visited the training centre of 108 on 12th of July, 2019 as a part of our social studies unit, “Safety and first-aid”. The trainer explained about three kinds of burns, how to give first-aid at different situations such as insect bite, breathing problem, bleeding etc. She also explained about their six projects.
JG International School, Ahmedabad bestows upon its students the ability to be the future leaders of the world. The investiture ceremony for the session 2019-20 was yet again a special occasion where the young talents of the school were bestowed with the responsibility of leading their school with commitment, confidence and competence. The school held the ceremony with great enthusiasm. It was the occasion where the young students were all prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted to them by the school.
JG International school celebrated its 15th birthday on Friday, 21st June, 2019. The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp, which was followed by the JG Anthem. Later, the school choir presented a melodious song after which there was a graceful dance performed by the students.
Class IV had organized an educational trip to Gokul Water Purification Plant, Gota on 16th April, 2019. The purpose for this trip was to learn more about water purification under our Programme of Inquiry topic “Water”.
This water plant is divided into four divisions. First we went to the Bottle Making Unit, where they took thick plastic test tubes called Preform in a blowing machine. The preform expanded due to high heat and air pressure and took the shape of a bottle.
We the students of Class IV visited The Vichaar Utensil Museum, Vishala on12th April, 2019. We went there to observe variety of precious utensils which reflects our culture, heritage, lifestyle and traditions of the ancient era. The museum was one of its kind in its village-like environment in the city. It took almost 38 years for the connoisseur, Mr. Surendrabhai Patel to collect these utensils.
This place is visited by many celebrities and famous personalities like Indira Gandhi, Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, M.S. Dhoni and many more.
We the students of Grade II went to Children’s Traffic Park on 11th April, 2019 as a part of “Communication Unit” to learn about signage and traffic rules.
First, we watched videos about Traffic rules. We learnt that while driving we should wear seat belt and should not use phone. We should not run on road and should see left and right before crossing the road. We should not be in hurry while boarding a bus and should not take our hands or head out of the moving bus or car.
We visited a Fire station at Memnagar on 10th April, 2019 at 10:00am. We visited Fire station as a part of our social studies topic “Public Services”. We were divided into three different groups so that the different fire officers could assist us and explain how they deal with an emergency.
Graduation Ceremony for the batch 2018-19 was organized on 6th April, 2019 in the JGIS auditorium which was a revered ritual as it marks the beginning of a young adult’s foray into the real world wherein he/she dons the mantle of myriad roles and responsibilities that pave the way to become a global citizen.
It began with Marching of the coordinators followed by the students graduating in their sections. It further proceeded with lighting of the lamp followed by JG anthem.
The Graduation Ceremony of Sr. KG was held on Wednesday 19th March, 2019 at 10.30 am.
56 students of batch 2018-19 were graduated from Pre Primary to Primary Level. Graduation Certificates were given out to the children by the Chief Guests one by one.
The Chief Guests for the event were our very own, Head Girl- Harakh Patel, Head Boy- Harsh Gadhiya and Sports Captain- Divyesh Karelia.
Perseverance- A Virtue Of Life, was the theme of the Annual Day of Pre Primary section, held on Saturday 16/03/2019.The show took place in the school auditorium from 10.30 am onwards. The Chief Guests of the function were Mrs. and Mr. Marar, a parent of JGIS student.
Ranthambhore is a place with history and wildlife. Along with its rich history, it is home for many animals and especially tigers. Class of IBDP Veritas visited Ranthambore during March, 2019 from 24th to 29th.
An educational trip was organized to Sarkhej Roza and Adalaj Stepwell on 22nd February, 2019, Friday for students of grade I as a part of POI unit “My City”. It was an experiential learning where in the children got acquainted with historical monuments. It was an exciting experience for the children.

Sports Day for Pre-primary to class II was held on Saturday the 16th of February 2019 in the school grounds. All the races were designed according to the theme “Fun At Farm”. The event began with a drill dance. Various elements of a farm – sowing, watering, feeding the animals added variety to the races displaying co-ordination and gross motor skills of the students. Finally it was time for parents and grandparents to show their athletic skills through a variety of races arranged for them.
