The festival of Janmashtami was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm in the school auditorium on Friday, August 31. A special assembly was conducted for classes I to VIII. The significance of the festival was explained to the children and a beautiful dance presentation by our students transformed the ambience of the auditorium into a divine arena. The programme came to a conclusion with the Aarti of Lord Krishna followed by distribution of Prasad to all the students.
JGIS organized ‘One Act Play’ Inter House Competition on 31st August 2018. All the four houses of the school presented English One act plays with subtle content. The acting skills of the students generated a thunderous applause from the audience.

Eight US Universities visited JG International School on 29th August, 2018 and interacted with the students of grades IX to XII. The objective behind their visit was to give important information and guidance to the students for their future education abroad. The universities that visited our school were :
One of its kind inter-house Just a minute competition was held in JGIS campus on 24-08-18, Friday. It was the first time when participants were allowed to do any act of their choice instead of speech or memory test. The competition was for classes 5th – 12th. There were 32 participants in total. 16 in junior and 16 in senior category. Rules for the competition were: each participant had one minute to perform and any second exceeding one minute was awarded 0.25 negative marks. Judges for the competition were Ms. Deepa Arora, Ms. Priyal Kapuriya, Mr.

No one wants to become a cheater, a liar, or even worse... And yet, we fail to understand the importance of honesty, because we think we will just grow up to be good people. But, like everything good in life, it requires hard work and dedication.
The students of grade III Water showcased the journey of dishonesty to honesty in the form of a Class Presentation.
JG International School celebrated Independence Day with great pomp on 15th August, 2018 creating an atmosphere of patriotism, for our nation. All the teachers and students gathered on the ground. The principal gave a warm welcome followed by the hoisting of our beloved ‘Tiranga’ – the symbol of the freedom by our Chairman. A cultural program was held on the theme ‘Tryst with Destiny’. At the end of the celebration, every soul who had witnessed it was moved by the story.
Children of Nursery visited the Fire Station located at Memnagar area on Friday 03/08/2018 during school hours.
All experts agree: children learn by playing and toys are the instruments that allow them to discover the world they live in. And this is precisely why they interact with their surroundings through toys. Plus toys give them plenty of enjoyment and happiness, both of which help build self esteem.
3rd August, 2018 was an exciting day for the students of JGIS. They got a surprise when their favourite character from the series of Geronimo Stilton visited the school to celebrate friendship day with them. This was an initiative taken by Scholastic and supported by the school to enhance reading habit in students. He talked about the importance of reading as it gives wings to their imagination and sparkle their creativity. Many new books were introduced and forms were given to the students.
The English Declamation Competition was held on the 3rd of August, 2018. The event showcased talented and confident speakers at their best who delivered famous speeches by popular personalities like Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Sunder Pichai and other eminent personalities.
A hero is someone who can be looked up to for his actions. Children of Grade I Venus showcased a class presentation on the topic.
On 31-07-18 as a part of the ongoing project ‘Let’s Know Our Constitution’, the Team Humanities of JGIS presented the first two Rights of Fundamental Rights i.e. Right to Equality and Right to Freedom.
“Be a Hero. Always say, I have no fear”.
This famous quote by Swami Vivekananda inspired Grade IV Diamond to showcase the class presentation on “FEAR”. We all are born with fear or acquire fear with some unfortunate experiences. Students of class IV displayed an insight of fear that we have in common and how effortlessly we can eradicate it from our lives.
25th July, 2018 was an awaited day for the students of Grade III as they were going to visit Mongiland- the Monginis Cake factory to aquaint them to the process of baking and chocolate making and connect them to the novel “ Charlie and the chocolate factory” which they are reading.
