Visit to Kankaria Zoo (Class-Nursery) – 2023

The toddlers of Nursery went to Kankaria Zoo on 15th September, 2023 to see wildlife, a whole new world of wonder. The animals need not be large or exotic: even common wild creatures such as elephants, deer and birds bring a thrill to children. Seeing wild animals in nature can become a child’s treasured memory. Wild animals have certain qualities that make them mysterious and exciting to children. Wild animals have to find their own food and they eat “weird things” like bugs and worms.

Visit To Science City- Aquatic Gallery (Class – Jr. KG) – 2023

Teaching children about ocean animals is very important as 75% of earth’s surface is covered with ocean. They can affect weather, food, temperature and even our life as 70%-80% of oxygen is supplied by marine plants. The never-ending water body is filled with various aquatic animals that are interesting, unique and mysterious. Although we have explored only five percent of the water bodies, we have already discovered around 230,000 species. 

Teachers’ Day – 2023

It was the most awaited day for the students of JGIS to celebrate Teachers’ Day which marks the birth of the great teacher, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The celebration began with the students wishing their teachers and seeking their blessings to excel in their lives. They presented different tags to all the teachers and admin staff to express their gratitude towards them and make their day special. Cultural programs were organized by the students who had put in lot of efforts to make the show a grand success.

Onam Celebration – 2023

Onam, the vibrant and culturally rich festival of Kerala, is one of the most significant and eagerly awaited celebrations in JG International School which was celebrated on 28th August, 2023. It is a time of immense joy and depicts classical example of unity amongst diversity. Onam is a harvest festival and a tribute to the mythical King Mahabali, who is believed to return to Kerala during this time. The festival showcases a blend of cultural and artistic traditions, making it a unique and unforgettable experience for teachers and students.

JGMUN 4th Edition - 2023

The day finally began with the registration followed by the opening ceremony. Our own principal Dr. Kavita Sharma, was the Chief Guest for the opening ceremony along with Head- Administration & HR, Ms. Rekha Anil, and Manager Parent Relations and Academics, Ms. Rema Nair. The ceremony started with lighting of the lamp followed by a prayer song and prayer dance which was presented by our school choir and our own students (Angel and group) respectively.

Visit to Indroda Park (Class-IV) – 2023

In this ever-evolving environment, the education system has made a significant shift by combining traditional and modern technologies to improve comprehension. Practical learning always improves and has a significant influence on the development of young minds. On 25th August, 2023 students of class IV were exposed to the various biomes and the way each biome generates an environment in which plants can adapt and thrive as a part of Programme of Inquiry Unit “Adaptation of plants”.

IB PYP Meet – 2023

In a historic moment of educational excellence, J G International School proudly played host to a daylong prestigious India and South Asia IB PYP Coordinators and Western region Heads meet. This groundbreaking event marked the first-ever convening of its kind within the vibrant landscapes of Gujarat.

Independence Day – 2023

JG International School celebrated the 77th Independence Day of  India with a series of impactful events. The occasion began with a warm welcome from the Principal, Dr. Kavita Sharma, setting the tone for the patriotic fervor that followed. The national flag was hoisted by Dr. M P Chandran, Chairman of the Asia Charitable Trust, as students of class VI to XII along with the attendees stood in unity, echoing the national anthem.

Awareness Session on Malaria by AMC - 2023

An awareness session was conducted by AMC officials on 28th July, 2023 about Malaria which was widespread in the city. The session was attended by students of class X. The officials explained about the breeding places of mosquitoes, how to monitor their surroundings to identify the breeding places and precautions to be taken to avoid building of these breeding places. They also suggested the ways to prevent mosquito bites especially for new born and pregnant women.
