NWR Football Tournament - 2022

JGIS hosted the NWR competition from 1st August to 6th August, 2022 where reputed ISC schools participated. Students from Class VI to XII participated in Under 14, under 17 and under 19 categories.

Under 14 category was held between 1st and 2nd of August, 2022. Nine schools from NWR (North West region) took part for the championship. During the competition selections also took place for the National team.  In the finals, Shri Ram School – Aravali (Delhi) defeated Shri Ram School Moulsari (Delhi).

Inter House English Declamation - 2022

Inter House Declamation Competition was organized for classes V to VIII to hone the oratory skills of the students. A declamation speech is the term used to describe the re-giving of an important or famous speech. This method of teaching was used in ancient Greece where public speaking was considered a necessary art for anybody embarking on a career in public service. The speaker re-interprets the original speech and reproduces its power afresh.

Workshop for Students, “Right Moves” - 2022

On this day, our Principal, Dr. Kavita Sharma kick-started the first of many workshops to come, to help us find our place in today’s world. This session outlined how we can learn to make the “Right Moves” by understanding the concept of choices. All attendees, the students of class XII, found this workshop to be very fitting to our current position in life- a pivotal point where teenagers find everything changing around them, and are exposed to a completely different side of the world we live in.

Poems Out Loud - 2022

JGIS hosted the annual ‘Poems Out Loud’ competition on Friday, 15th July, 2022 where twenty-six reputed schools participated. Students from Class IV to IX participated for winning prices under different categories: The First, Second and Third Prices under individual category, and two special awards, one for reciting ‘The Best Self-composed Poem’ and the other for ‘The Best Vocal Quality’.

Theory of Knowledge (ToK) IBDP Batch 2021-23

The IBDP students of JG International School held their Theory of Knowledge (ToK) Exhibition on 14th July 2022 in JG auditorium, JG Campus of Excellence. Many schools, colleges’  faculty members and students  attended this Exhibition and were impressed by the kind of discussions and deliberations that took place.  The ToK course provides an opportunity to explore and reflect the process of knowing. The TOK exhibition explores how ToK manifests in the real world.

Cyber Security Awareness - 2022

To increase awareness regarding the different types of cybercrime and the help provided by the Gujarat Police, a session for Cyber Security Awareness for the classes of IX to XII on 14th July 2022, was conducted by Dr. Tushar Shah and Mr. Tej Daftary.

The students were informed about how the personal security is compromised online and the acts Social media that are considered to be a misconduct as per Indian Penal Court.

Inter House English Recitation - 2022

The inter house English poem recitation competition was held on 8th July, 2022. The competition was divided into three category: Sub- Junior- class IV-V, Junior- class VI- VII and Senior- class VIII- IX. The teachers in charge were- Mitisha Lalwani, Steffi Thomas.

Judges for the same were- Ms. Neelam Rathi and Ms. Yasmin Khan.

Scorers were- Ms. Vijayalalita, Ms. Shannon and Ms. Soma.

Graduation Ceremony - 2022

Graduation Ceremony for the students of class X and XII batch2021-22 ISC, AS Level and IBDP II was held on 30/06/22 in the auditorium from 5:00 p.m.

The students marched in the auditorium with their coordinators followed by lightning of the lamp by the dignitaries.

JG anthem was sung with pride.

The principal addressed the students and blessed them.

All the students were invited by their coordinators and were felicitated by our honourable chairman Dr M.P.Chandran.

Investiture Ceremony - 2022

The deserving young talents of JG International School were bestowed with the responsibility of leading their school with commitment, confidence and competence on the fine morning of 30th June, 2022. The investiture ceremony, thus, marked the inaugural of the senior student council for the academic session 2022-23; however, owing to the present Covid situation, the ceremony was held online with only Class XII being the audience in the auditorium. The programme began with the welcoming of the guests, the Chairman, Dr. M. P. Chandran, Principal, Dr.

School Birthday - 2022

JG International School celebrated the completion of 18 years since its inception on 21st June, 2022. The Chairman Dr. M. P. Chandran partook in the celebration organized in the school auditorium. The Principal Dr.Kavita Sharma, the Manager Administration and HR, Ms.Rekha Anil, the Manager Parent Relations, Ms.Rema Nair, students of Class XII and their class teachers were the audience.

World Yoga Day - 2022

Yoga is said to have originated in India and speculated to date back to pre-Vedic Indian traditions. It is mentioned in the Rigveda, but most likely developed between the fifth and sixth centuries BC. The actual Sanskrit word, ‘Yog’, when broken down, means ‘to control’ or ‘to unite’. The word has also been translated to mean ‘joining’, ‘uniting’ or ‘union’. The union is established between the self and the spirit. 

Republic Day - 2022

Our nation’s 73rd Republic Day was celebrated at JGIS, on 26th January, 2022 with immense patriotic fervour as is always the custom. The dignitaries for the event were the Chairman, Dr. M.P.Chandran, the Secretary, Mr.Joy Jose, the Treasurer, Mr.K.L.N Sastry, the Secretary ASIA, Mr.V.D.Prabhakaran, other Trustees, Members of the Managing Committee, the Principals and Staff Members of our extended family, other dignitaries and guests.

TEDx@JGIS - 2021

The complex human brain is capable of creating a constant flow of divergent ideas. And, creative and well-wrought ideas are the ideal way forward for mankind and that again if well-executed, can pave the way to innumerable and endless possibilities. We, at JG International School, value the skills of selection, evaluation and judgment to whittle down our lists to the most useful and doable ideas. These in turn, entail a series of deliberations, and debates about the true potential of ideas.
