Lit Fest was conducted in JGIS from 04/02/2019 till 12/02/2019. On 7^th February, Grade 6 had performed a short act of the novel ‘The Phantom Tollbooth’ by Norton Juster. The Chief Guest for the event was Ms. Meera Trivedi. She is a radio broadcaster and has hosted many shows with BBC Radio. All the parents of Grade 6 were invited to watch the programme. The day ended with meeting a famous personality’s spirit in the Wax Museum at the Lingua Café. And then the Chief Guest was also called to give her valuable feedback. Mrs.

Students of Grade 2 brought alive the novel “Jungle book” written by Rudyard Kipling on 6^th February, 2019 as a part of LIT FEST 2019. The purpose of this festival is not only to provide entertainment, but to celebrate and emphasize the importance of writing beyond what is required in school. It also helps the students to showcase their talent so that they can avoid stage fear. Moreover, it gives equal opportunity to each and every child.

‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’, a novel written by Roald Dahl ,was read by the students of grade III throughout the year. Therefore, on 5^th February 2019 the novel was brought alive by the students themselves in the form of a play and dance. The Chief guest for the day was Ms. Sargam Majrawala, a textile designer by profession, turned into a baker and confectioner by passion. A special invitation was given to the parents too, to witness the show and encourage the students. 

Students of class IV presented their novel “The Wizard of Oz” by  L. Frank Baum on 04-02-19 in the school auditorium, in the form of a play. The story was divided into three parts and thus the main characters were portrayed by the students of all the three sections. The chief guest for the day was Ms. Kusum Chopra. A woman’s point of view, empathy in examining logically, and verbal emoting characterize her writing.

70^th Republic Day was celebrated on the Football ground in JGIS premises on 26^th January, 2019. The programme began with welcoming the guest viz. honourable Chairman, Shri John Gee Vargese, President ASIA,  Mr. K.L.N. Sastry, Executive Director,  Mr. M.P.Chandran, other trustees, members of managing committee followed by flag hoisting.

Expressions- a carnival of creations was a genuine and enriching journey of experimenting, learning and experiencing various subjects from multiple angles and approaches for students from the Kindergarten to grade XII, across all the Boards.

The second edition of JGMUN took place on 19^th and 20^th January, 2019. Early morning registrations were followed by the opening ceremony, attended by the Principal, Ms. Kavita Sharma, Manager Administration and HR, Ms. Rekha Anil and Manager Parent Relations and Academics, Ms. Rema Nair. The conference was inaugurated by the Secretary General, Mr. Dhruv Sachchade followed by the initiation of the committees.

JG International School organized their Annual Sports Day on 5^th January,  2019 with great enthusiasm and excitement. Around 300 students from class III to XII participated in various races like 50mtrs flat race, 100mtrs, 200mtrs and relay for the final day events. The highlight of the day was the School Relay and teachers’ games. The Executive Director,  Mr. M.P. Chandran, Principal, Ms. Kavita Sharma and the Parents were invited to witness the event and cheer the children.

Poetry and Rhymes help to develop self-expressions. When reciting poem students are given the freedom to express feelings to their audience.

The Opening Ceremony of the eleventh JG Cup Football Tournament 2018 was organised by JGIS on 27th December, 2018. This mega event spanning 5 days had 35 teams participating and competing under two categories : inter school boys and inter school open boys from all over Gujarat. The Chief Guest of the evening was none other than our Chairman, Shri John Geevargese. The occasion was graced by Executive Director, Mr. M. P.
