The Inter-House Quiz competition for Juniors (V-VIII) was conducted on 7th October, 2022. The four houses had selected three contestants from their individual houses. A lottery was done to allot tables to each house to ensure fair play. There were nine rounds in all.
Jagdish Chandra Bose House was the winner, followed by Amartya Sen House in the second position, Rabindranath Tagore House in the third and Chandrashekhar House in the fourth position.
JG International School celebrated Navratri festival by organizing Garba night on 1st October, 2022. The auspicious event began with offering prayers to the Goddess Shakti and with the introduction about the significance and meaning of the Prayer. Event progressed by performing Aarti by our Honorable chairman, Dr. M.P. Chandran. The trustees and other managing committee members too graced the occasion. Students, teachers, parents and support staff of JGIS also showed glimpses of traditional moves of garba.
JGIS organized Inter House ‘One Act Play’ Competition on 30th September, 2022. All the four houses of the school presented English One Act Plays with various themes. The acting skills of the students generated a thunderous applause from the audience.

An educational field visit was organized by JG International School for Grade IV on 28th September, 2022, Wednesday. The main objective of this visit was to make students aware of the different plant adaptations in different biomes. Since the students had already learnt about plant adaptations in various biomes, it was a great opportunity for them to relate theoretical knowledge with practical observation.
Students and teachers of CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) Club visited Parivartan Foundation, Gurukul, Ahmedabad, on 21st September 2022, to donate several items like stationery, clothes, toys, bags and other essential things. These items were collected by the students of CAS Club under the project of ‘Helping Hands’ to aid students who are underprivileged.
Moms’ at School of Pre Primary section was held on 21st September, 2022. The event started with prayer, brain gym and eurhythmy that gave them a small glimpse of how the child begins his day at school. This was followed with an interactive Parenting Session conducted by the Principal, Dr. Kavita Sharma. The workshop was taken up in order to guide parents to understand the child better and find a solution to solve the problems faced by them often.
JGIS conducted its Annual Inter House Quiz Contest on 16th September, 2022. The contest comprised different rounds like: Mixed Bag, Rapid Fire, Who or What Am I?, Visual Rounds etc. covering a wide variety of topics like History, Geography, Current Affairs, Science, Mathematics, English Language and Literature, Sports and Entertainment. RT House won the contest, AS House stood Second, JB House secured the Third Position and CS stood Fourth. The audience too got their share of questions which made the experience exciting for everyone.
In this modern age of nuclearization of families, grandparents provide much needed support, guidance, and wisdom. Grandparents are our heritage and an important part of our family. There exists an intimate bond of attachment between grandparents and grandchildren.
Dress up, helps children benefit their social and emotional development. Using their imagination as a starting point allows them to interact and engage with other children. By imagining themselves to be someone different, a child develops creativity.
Onam, the traditional festival of Kerala is celebrated with much enthusiasm by all the teachers of JGIS. The beauty of the festival lies in its secular fabric. Teachers of all religions, castes and communities celebrated the festival with equal joy and verve.
Day 1: It was the day of departure. Bags packed and energy refilled to the maximum. The students of IBDP boarded the train in the afternoon of 6th of September, 2022. 2:40 p.m. and got down to Tivim, a town in Goa the next morning at 10:00 a.m. The students then took a bus ride to get to the resort GOVEIA GRAND, CANDOLIM by noon. After taking a break; finally begun the sightseeing.
Teachers’ Day was celebrated on 5th September, 2022. The Principal, Dr. Kavita Sharma, Manager- Administration & HR, Ms. Rekha Anil and Manager - Parent Relations & Academics, Ms. Rema Nair attended the event. Students of classes V to XII also witnessed the programme.
This day welcomed the second session of the workshops conducted by Principal ma’am in our school. “Catch your ‘I’, be an eye catcher”- this was the leading line that paved way for a plethora of self-discovery.
