JGIS School Birthday (14th) - 2018

JG international school celebrated its 14th birthday on Thursday, 21st June, 2018. The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp, which was followed by the JG Anthem. The Principal, Ms. Kavita Sharma gave a welcome address that was followed by a song and a dance number performed by the students.

JGIS believes that attendance is important and every day at school matters. To that end, students who achieved 100% attendance were conferred with awards. The next set of awards was in appreciation of the students’ performance in the academic area. Students were also felicitated for securing 100% in the Board Examination.

Rolling trophies were also given away to Houses in various categories. The Co-curricular Activity Cup and the Academic Trophy was bagged by Jagdishchandra Bose House. Amartya Sen House won the Sports and Games Cup. The Overall Champions Trophy that is the Cock House Trophy was awarded to Jagdishchandra Bose House.

The prize distribution was followed by the exhortation by the class toppers. They lit candles, as a symbol of enlightenment, and took a vow to abide by the principles of life. The Birthday Cake was cut by the Executive Director, Mr. M. P. Chandran, who then addressed the gathering and appreciated the Principal, staff members and students for the growth of JGIS. The programme came to an end with the National Anthem.
