Inter house Just a minute Competition - 2018

One of its kind inter-house Just a minute competition was held in JGIS campus on 24-08-18, Friday. It was the first time when participants were allowed to do any act of their choice instead of speech or memory test. The competition was for classes 5th – 12th. There were 32 participants in total. 16 in junior and 16 in senior category. Rules for the competition were: each participant had one minute to perform and any second exceeding one minute was awarded 0.25 negative marks. Judges for the competition were Ms. Deepa Arora, Ms. Priyal Kapuriya, Mr. Rakesh Patel and Mr. Avnish Upala. Score keepers for the competition were Ms. Neelam Rathi and Ms. Shila Singh. Audience for the competition was classes 5th to 12th.

Various performances  including mimicking animals voices, magic tricks, making rangoli, performing science experiment, classical dance on western music, pen tapping etc. were performed by the participants.

There was a tie in the junior category for the third position. The participants who stood third in the junior category were  Hir Bhagchandani – VIII B(Rangoli) and Nakshatra Charan -VI A(Mimicking animal voices). Second and first positions were awarded to Dhruv Patel -VI C (Robotics dance) and Saumya Bhatt – VII CISCE(dance with hullaloop).

Winners in senior category were: 4th rank was won by Rahul Dedhia - IX IG, third rank was awarded to Jenish Dobariya – IBDP – II (free style dance), winner of the second position was Sreenidhi Rajesh – IX A (different dance style on different music) and the first rank was awarded to Dhvipasha Purohit – XII ISC (performance with song)
