Poetry and Rhymes help to develop self-expressions. When reciting poem students are given the freedom to express feelings to their audience.

JGIS conducted Inter-house English Recitation Competition of grade I – IV on 4^th January, 2019 for the year 2018-19. The competition was conducted for two categories, the junior category had participants from grade I & II and the senior category had participants from grade III & IV. Judges for the competition were Ms. Shilpa Thakkar and Ms. Neeta Colvin. The winners in senior category were: 1^st position bagged by Monisha Singh of RT house , 2^nd position was taken by Angaj Adhikari of AS house and 3^rd position was shared by two students Daksh Dayalani of CS house and Anika Patel of AS house.
