Inter School Recitation 'Poems Outloud' - 2016

JGIS organized ‘Poems Out Loud-2016-17’ – Inter-school Poetry Recitation Competition on 22nd July, 2016. 25 reputed schools participated in this competition.
The competition was held in three categories: (a) Sub-junior: grades 4-5, (b) Junior: grades 6-7 and (c) Senior: 8-9.
The Judges were Ms. Uma Oza, Ms. Shalvi Agarwal, Mr. Bijoy Shivram, Ms. Beena Handa, Mr. Sudhir Kulkarni, Dr. Nutan Kotak, Dr. Indira Nityanandam and Ms. Mana Yagnik.
In the Sub-junior category, Aarushi Pant of Podar International School won the third prize; Shivangi Shah of JG International School won the second prize; the first prize was bagged by Jayaditya Vyas of DPS, Bopal.
In the junior category, Parth Singhani of Podar of Anand Niketan (Shilaj) won the third prize; Kush Vyas of Anand Niketan (Satellite) won the second prize; the first prize was bagged by Shivani Shankar of JG International School.
In the senior category, Manush Shah of St. Kabir (Drive in Old) won the third prize; Shubheksha Khare of Divine Child International School won the second prize; the first prize was bagged by Ananya Anandharaman of JG International School.
There were two special awards: Manush Shash of St. Kabir (Drive in Old) won the award for reciting the best written self-composed poem whereas Shivani Shankar of JG International School won the award for the best vocal quality.
JG International School won the Overall Champion’s Trophy. But as JG International School was the host school, the trophy was given away to the Runners’ Up School Podar International School.
