Visit to Ghuma (Class-VI) - 2023
On the 14th of February, 2023, we went on a field trip to Ghuma. It is an open area with replicas of statues, old buildings, civilizations and much more. We left at 9:33 a.m. by bus. It took approximately 40 minutes to go from our school to Ghuma.
When we reached, the entrance was in the shape of a pyramid. We got off the bus and realized the pyramid was hollow and big. Walking in, we saw that the inside walls of the pyramid had Egyptian Hieroglyphs carved into it. Then, we saw a divider between two lanes, one for walking and one for driving, but the divider was a green dragon which would go into the ground and come back up until it got to the head. The head was very delicate and creative. Ahead, we saw fields that were used to farm food a long time back. Some also had wooden crates and cauldrons in them. Next, there were replicas of Egyptian figurines like the Sphinx, Pharaohs. There were statues of Lord Buddha, each with a different expression or pose. They were life-sized ones as well. We were now in the Chinese civilization. We hadn’t realized how perfect all the structures were until now. The curved roof was exactly like the ones we had seen in our textbook. There were also life-size lion statues at the entrance with a slightly rusted gate. Finally, it was time for the last structure. It was a stone wall with beautiful carvings of figurines, houses, statues and so much more.
After that, we boarded the buses again and left at around 11:45 a.m. We came back to the school at 12:26 p.m. The experience was very interesting and I would strongly recommend it. It is a place worth seeing.
